I. Feature Overview
MoreLogin supports hosting Passkey credentials for platform accounts within browser profiles. Once hosted, team members can directly use the hosted Passkey to complete one-click identity verification when signing in to the target platform from the corresponding profile. No phone scanning, external security key, or other hardware device is required, greatly simplifying login and secondary verification workflows for multi-account teams.
This feature applies to Amazon, Facebook, Google, and all third-party platforms that support the Passkey standard.
II. Prerequisites
Client: Use the official MoreLogin client. Passkey hosting and login verification are supported in both Chromium- and Firefox-based profiles.
Account profile: The corresponding MoreLogin isolated profile has been successfully linked to an account on the target platform, such as Amazon.
Platform support: The target platform natively supports Passkey-based login verification.
Permissions: Members with the “Passkey Management” permission can access the management page and perform all operations, including hosting and unbinding Passkeys, editing names, moving Passkeys to the Recycle Bin, restoring or permanently deleting them, and configuring local Passkeys.
Default permission rules: MoreLogin Super Admins and Admins have the “Passkey Management” permission enabled by default. Other standard team roles do not have this permission by default and must be authorized separately.
Passkey Management has been enabled in Global Settings. Once enabled, Passkeys in profiles can be hosted in MoreLogin.
III. Instructions
1. Add a Passkey
Step 1 | Open Passkey Management
Path: Profiles > Browser > Target browser profile > More > Passkey Management.
Go to “Profiles > Browser” and locate the target browser.
Click “More” next to the Start Profile button.
Select “Passkey Management” from the drop-down menu.
Step 2 | Verify Profile Information
In the “Passkey Management” window, confirm that the “Profile Name” and “Linked Platform Account” are correct.
Step 3 | Create and Host a Passkey on the Platform Website
If the hosted Passkey list is empty, the system prompts you to create a Passkey on the target platform website first, then return to complete hosting.
Click “Configure” in the lower-right corner of the window, or start the profile and sign in to the target platform account directly.
Using Amazon as an example: sign in to the account, go to “Account Center > Login & Security,” locate Passkey, click “Edit / Set Up,” and follow the platform instructions to create a Passkey.
When prompted during creation, select “Host” to host it in MoreLogin. If an existing hosted record is detected, select “Bind.”
Step 4 | Confirm Hosting (Optional)
Return to the “Passkey Management” window. Hosted Passkeys appear in the list, where you can verify the Passkey ID, associated account, website, Passkey name, date added, and linked platform account.
If there are many records, use the search box in the upper-right corner to search by Passkey name or website. Select a record to view its linked platform account details below, including the platform, account name, and login account.
Step 5 | Edit the Passkey Name (Optional)
Click “Edit” in the record’s Actions column.
Enter a new name in “Edit Passkey Name” (up to 50 characters).
Click “Save.”
Step 6 | Enable “Allow Local Passkey Configuration / Use” (Optional)
Enable Passkey settings for an individual account:
After this option is enabled, members with the “Passkey Management” permission can configure the Passkey locally, and all members can use the local Passkey to sign in.
After clicking the switch, click “Confirm Enable” in the confirmation prompt.
We recommend keeping this option disabled to prevent a locally configured Passkey from being mistakenly used to sign in to the account from another profile, which could create account security risks.
Enable Passkey settings globally:
Open the MoreLogin client and go to “Settings > Global Settings.”
Locate “Passkey Management” and enable the switch.
Once enabled, Passkeys for platform accounts can be hosted in MoreLogin and shared by team members.
Step 7 | Confirm and Save
After completing the settings above, click “Confirm” in the lower-right corner of the window to confirm Passkey hosting.
2. Delete a Passkey
Step 1 | Open Passkey Management
Go to “Profiles > Browser,” click “More” on the right side of the target profile row, and select “Passkey Management.”
Step 2 | Locate the Target Passkey
Find the Passkey to delete in the hosted list. Before proceeding, verify its Passkey ID, associated account, and website. If there are many records, use the search box in the upper-right corner to search by Passkey name or website and avoid deleting the wrong item.
Step 3 | Start Deletion
Click “Delete” in the record’s Actions column.
Step 4 | Confirm Moving to the Recycle Bin
In the “Delete Passkey” confirmation window, verify the Passkey name.
Click “Move to Recycle Bin” to complete deletion. If you are unsure, click “Cancel” to exit.
Impact After Deletion (Important)
After a Passkey is moved to the Recycle Bin, login and configuration are suspended, and team members can no longer use it to sign in to the corresponding platform account.
30-day retention period: During this period, you can restore the Passkey from “Recycle Bin” in the upper-right corner of “Passkey Management.”
If you need to recover it, do so within the retention period. After the period expires, recovery is no longer possible.
IV. Common Scenarios
The Passkey has never been hosted: Follow the prompt to select “Host” and bind it to complete setup.
The Passkey is detected as already hosted in MoreLogin during setup: Bind it directly.
The Passkey is already hosted and linked to the current account: No repeated action is required.
The Passkey linked to the current account is invalid, and none of the Passkeys in the list are hosted: Create and bind a new Passkey.
V. Troubleshooting When No Platform Account Has Been Added to the Morelogin
If “Linked Platform Account” is empty or does not show the target platform account when you open the “Passkey Management” window, the profile has not yet been linked to a platform account. You cannot host the Passkey directly. First add the platform account to the profile, then start the profile, sign in to the platform website, and configure the Passkey.
Reason: A corresponding platform account must be linked to the profile before a Passkey can be hosted, because the system needs to associate the Passkey with that account.
Step 1 | Add a Platform Account
Go to “Browser > My Profiles” and locate the target profile.
Click “More” on the right side of the profile row and select “Edit Profile.”
Select an account platform, such as Amazon. If the platform is unavailable, select Custom, then enter the platform account information.
If 2FA is required, add the 2FA secret key at the same time, then click “Save.”
Step 2 | Confirm That the Account Is Linked
Reopen “Passkey Management” for the profile and confirm that the account you just added appears under “Linked Platform Account” before proceeding.
Step 3 | Start the Profile and Sign In to the Platform Account
Return to the profile list and click “Open” to start the profile.
After the profile opens, the account added to the profile appears in the “Linked Accounts” section.
Sign in to the platform account in the browser.
Step 4 | Create and Host a Passkey on the Platform Website
After signing in, open the platform’s account settings. Using Amazon as an example: Account Center > Login & Security > Passkey > Edit / Set Up.
Follow the platform instructions to create a Passkey. During creation, select “Host” to host it in MoreLogin. If an existing hosted record is detected, select “Bind.”
Step 5 | Return and Confirm Hosting
Return to the “Passkey Management” window. Confirm that the Passkey appears in the hosted list, where you can verify its ID, associated account, website, name, and date added.
Click “Confirm” in the lower-right corner to complete hosting.
